Visit the Historical Lighthouse of Kribi The coast of Kribi just like many others in Africa has a rich historical background which also could be considered as sad. Nevertheless, "incredible" is the word that can be used to describe the story that surrounds the Kribi Historical Lighthouse. This over a century old lighthouse still stands tall testifying of German colonial rule as this coast was used for the transportations of commodities such as wood, cocoa and coffee to Germany. The spellbinding aspect of this lighthouse is the fact that over a century, these bulbs have never been replaced and still shine so bright despite the fact that they play no important role in present day activities of this fascinating town. German colonial ships do not patrol the coast of Kribi today but this Beacon still lives on!
