When To Visit
Generally from a climatic point of view, most visitors prefer the cooler and drier months which run from November to February. December and January should be the most ideal, but for the harmattan winds, the dryness and the dusty environment which could be detrimental to the health if appropriate health measures are not taken.
November through February is also a great period for holidays and festivals. A majority of the ethnic groups in Cameroon choose the end of the year for their annual traditional dances. Fairs, shows and exhibitions are also most frequent around November and December. January and February hold a large number of sporting competitions including the Cup of African Nations (football) and the Mount Cameroon Race of Hope.
